Bay Area Women in Film & Media (BAWIFM) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that actively provides networking, education and volunteer events for over 1,000 women mediamakers in the San Francisco Bay Area. We offer creative and professional support to our members through monthly meetings, special events and an active on-line community. We work with individual film, television, and mediamakers, and local organizations and business that help women connect, create and be inspired. As a Chapter of Women in Film & Media International (WIFTI), our members are also connected to a global network comprised of some 37 Women in Film Chapters worldwide with over 10,000 members, dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of film, video, and other screen-based media.
